Success with Distinction!

Chris Perkins successfully completed his Masters by Research thesis in June with Distinction. He is only the second UHI Masters by Research student in UHI to gain distinction at this level - well done Chris! His thesis in: GIS Decision Support System for Emerging Woodfuel energy markets, created and tested a replicable Decision Support System to enable potential actors in the woodfuel supply chain to assess the economic and environmental potential for the installation of woodfuel technology. Chris is working on a paper for publication based on his research, together with the development of research in supporting emerging woodfuel markets in the Highlands and Islands. He is based with Highland Birchwoods and is part of the Woodland Research Group.
